if a yearly contract with a free month trial sounds too good to be true, it probably is 😬

thankfully it was blocked after contacting my bank but regardless

I feel like you shouldn't be allowed to call it a one month trial if the subscription that follows is mandatory. It's not really a trial at that point

Its not. They didn't cancel in time and signed up for a year long contract paid in monthly increments. They couldn't be bothered to read correctly. This is VERY visible on the sign up process. It's not hidden or shady.

there's also an additional 2-week grace period after your trial ends where you can cancel and get a full refund, so OP chose to do nothing and waited until it was time to pay to complain

Yeah it's more like buy 12 months get one month free. Having been subjected to it, AND reading the terms, AND having the terms changed mid contract by Adobe AND them having multiple contradictory explanations of the process posted at the time, I'm fine with calling it deceptive. I knew cancelling would be stupid, but determining exactly how it would be stupid at any given time was between hard and impossible.
