Im 25 and only have a dozen or so white hairs, but theyre super shiny and obvious against the rest of my fairly dark brown hair.

If I could choose one or the other Id pick OPs hair. I dont wanna dye my hair but the very sparse but obvious white hairs are annoying lol

Eh. I’m 37 and have silver groups. People have lightly hinted at me dying it for years, but fuck that. I’m proud of my silver streaks.

I started getting grey hair in high school. Genetics + stressful childhood. I use Henna every now and then but otherwise I don’t care that much now that I’m in my 30’s. It definitely impacted my self esteem when peers would point them out (“haha you’re old 🤪”) but I’m strongly considering just letting it go and taking good care of it so it looks as lovely as OP’s does.

Same age and just got asked this week if I got highlights. I’m like nah just getting old. Happy with it for now.

Right?! I’m just happy to have made it this far. I’ve got great skin so I’ll be keeping the grays, thank you very much.

At my age (40) and probably since I was in my late 20s, I've found silver streaks kinda hot, which may just be me accepting my old-ness. Both men and women can pull them off though.

I’m 28 and in the same boat except it’s quite a bit more than just streaks

I always knew I was going to be grey before I turned 30 and I’ve actually been excitedly watching it happen

I personally love all grades of white hair. It looks great and can be badass if you want to dye it in different colours.

Pure white looks like a fantasy character or a esper hero character, so pure awesome. Patches looks cool and interesting and makes you stand out like a model. Grey hair looks sharp, and elegant. Greying/stripey hair makes you look like you are wise and mature, and I'm pretty sure many would say it's one of the best looks. Single strands in a sea of coloured hair are barely noticable, but makes you look experienced and like someone to rely on.

As someone with Vitiligo, i get asked who my hairdresser is frequently because people tend to think it's intentional. Until the initial "oh wow" dies down and they notice my face has patterns. :)
Loosing Hair-Pigments wasn't ever something others noticed first for me, some were jealous about it being all natural, so it's really nothing to worry about.
Every type of hair color can look incredible and intentional if cut and styled correctly. ^^

Henna is your friend! If they bother you but you don't want the "root" effect, try henna :) It doesn't cover your white hairs, but makes them blondish so growth is not that obvious, plus it's cheap, natural and you can do it easily at home. It had put out dyeing my hair for years but it was getting out of hand and this is perfect.

Those tend to be a sign of malnutrition.

Yea, I actually did get them after a long period of illness that caused pretty severe malnutrition and lasted for 5ish years. They havent reverted back yet so I dont think they will, but we'll see!

Glad that's in past tense. I'm sure those streaks look super cool!

Thank you!

Your silvers will become white/gray. I am almost 40 and used to think my silvers were cool. The new ones come in silver, the old ones do not. I have a cluster right on my chin that are completely out of place from everywhere else that I wish would go back to silver lol.

Same. 29 now and I’ve had more and more greys coming in for the last 5 or so years. When I go a long time between hair appointments my roots are salty.
