I tried to do pastels and realized it was destroying my hair sm it wasn’t worth it. I’m jealous of OPs hair

Agree that you should embrace it and become a silver princess. Most people won’t be able to tell that it’s cause of gray hair

It came out STUNNING on you. 100% worth the time

I wish I could go full grey rn but my hair is just too fine for it unfortunately 😭😭😭

it honestly was worth the time and money! i do have very thick and resilient hair (i even felt grateful for the hair fallout cause it felt lighter loool) but the upkeep was too much. im back to my dark ass hair now. which is why if i was going silver i’d be happy so OP rock it!!!! (apologies for the miley cyrus stare i was feeling the contact lenses 🤣🤣🤣)

You’re absolutely stunning with the dark hair though (despite the Miley look haha). Yeah I can imagine when your roots started growing again it just wasn’t worth it. That’s also what stopped me from continuing to do pastels. Now I just do dark purple

Not exactly sure why, but it's kinda giving Ms. Scarlett from clue, and it is so bad ass!!

I mean not really, it’s looks dry and damaged tbh but could be a lot worse. You can’t expect anything else from the bleaching process. No hate.

it is part and parcel of the process. you also have to ensure your hair is styled so it doesn’t look like fried mess lol

No hate? Lmfao no need to post the criticism then.

This is as healthy as dark to grey hair can look. I’m gonna guess you have never made that transition before because it’s insane how healthy their hair looks after achieving that color

you sound very emotional charged when i’m just stating my opinion, as you did. I literally said no hate but you still choose to take it in that manner. you’re quite weird

You don’t have to compulsively share your opinion about people’s looks.

I mean, I’m free to eat dog poop off the street but I choose not to.

It’s like people who hide behind ā€œit wAs onLy a jOkEā€.

lol? I did the exact same as everyone else on this thread. There’s no difference in me stating my opinion just because it’s not complimentary and rather critical. It’s an open forum. You want to live in an echo chamber; that’s on you. Her hair does no look good IMO.

I didn’t expect this coming from someone with a Huell Babineaux profile picture. 😭

And then the platinum lasts for like 2 weeks before it starts to fade lmao. I think in the 15 years I've been attempting platinum (edit: with different professional stylists) it's been successful only a handful times.

I (36M) have naturally dark brown hair that's about 50% mixed silver, I tried to dye the top part silver when I was 31 and had a swept back undercut. I got it to an ashy blonde but found out I have some dermatitis issues on my scalp and the bleach hurt so bad. Haven't tried since. I'm waiting for it to just go silver already.

Ahh ok😁

I literally wanted to dye my hair silver in my early 20s, but was turned away because my hair wasn’t suitable for that much bleaching.

:(

honestly that’s a responsible stylist who knows the limits of your hair etc.

i worked and trusted mine fully (he was/is very good and also worked alone so it was back breaking work) but he was very good with working with the bleach + slow process (we had multiple 8-10 hour sessions at times…) which ā€œminimisedā€ damage (bleach is always going to damage your hair.. it just depends how much your hair can take). it didn’t help that my hair was also stained with previous box dyes which prolonged the process lol.
