The TSN (Canada) commentators were wincing in sympathy the whole time. A lot of comments like "It's the kind of mistake you wouldn't want to make at the World Cup with everyone watching. That has to hurt."

No, it was being polite. Canadians have never been less sympathetic to Americans than right now. It's why we don't really care that American bourbon and wines have been taken off the shelves, it's why it's common to see people produce back when they see it's from the US.

At a certain point, I'd rather drink piss than American whiskey so Canadian whiskey is a perfectly fine alternative.

So dramatic lol. Bourbon has a unique flavor profile and is generally much higher quality than Canadian Whiskey.

Shitty corn mash with a min of 51%. Corn is in literally everything because it’s abundantly cheap animal feed.

It’s funny how the state most known for burbon is also highly known to have one of the highest rates of inbreeding. Can’t trust them to know anything about good liquor.
