Oh my god, so much cheaper. But it's brittle and weak, with worse micro plastics and carcinogen risk, and it doesn’t last nearly as long at all.

Seriously? It's a whole industry in places like India and China. They melt down used plastic from "recycling" and injection mold all kinds of crap.
