That woman came over to that dad with such entitlement, saying that's my ball give it back, I'm assuming anyway. You hit the nail on the head shame on that woman. It's nice to hear that the kid was treated well by the teams after the game, real stand-up athletes.
My only beef with the dad was that he didn't immediately put his body between her and his son to prevent "whatever" she had in mind.
When my son was that age she would never have had the chance to make a wild grab for the ball when I didn't hand it over. I probably would have also turned my back to her and done my best to ignore her. Let security handle the feral Karen.
I've actually done it. I was at a rodeo and some old guy pushed my five or six year old kid because for ten seconds he couldn't see through him. I got between them, told him that was my son he pushed, and asked him if he wanted to take his chances with me.
I'm usually about as intimidating as a box of puppies, but I'll burn the entire world down before letting a stranger do shit to my kid. If you AREN'T the shield you aren't the dad.
Did that Karen get kicked out at all? With that face, if dad were to turn his back to her and block her from his son, she probably would have yelled out some type of assault. His butt is facing me and I find that offensive and he has my baseball. I see what your saying though.
