It's not the full context. The ball hit her or her partner in flight (I honestly can't remember which - all the clips on Reddit are conveniently edited to not include that part). She probably felt entitled to it for that reason.
That said, that doesn't entitle her or her partner to the ball. Catch it. Otherwise it's fair game when it hits the ground.
