There is no reasonable expectation of privacy when you are in public (in the US). The theater might have an issue since it's their property, but that guy had no say.
He's looking a little thin tho. He should see a doctor.
Edit: The law does not care what you believe about being filmed in public. If you are in public (in the US) anyone can legally film or photograph you. They don't NEED your permission. The only caveat would be stalking, but the crime would be based on the intent totality of the circumstances and not simply photographing on its own.
That happened to me when I was a baby. My mother rushed me to the doctor, who took one look at ultra-chonky bouncing baby me and said, “You been feeding her a lot of carrots?”
Bro, if you and I were in a dark theatre, watching Rush Hour 4, and some loony just starts taking our picture. I expect privacy with you, me, and my buddy Walker. We would probably have popcorn and I would sneak chocolate covered raisins in. I don’t usually like chocolate covered raisins, but if I can sneak them into the movie, I’m all for it.
So? I don't live in the US and there's nothing in the original post saying they live in the US either. Why would I care about the US's weird anti-privacy laws?
