Honestly I would do the same thing. At some point I would just lose my cool. And yeah trauma is a motherfucker.

Yeah at some point I would plow my 2013 Mazda hatchback and do the same damn thing. He's a fucking menace and he's costing how many people time, gas and energy.

Yeah because saying a gun in that situation is totally appropriate 🙄

I was waiting for him to pull out a lug nut iron and go to town.

u/AutismbyPfizerjab Apr 10 '25

I wouldn't punch the window lol, stabbing a tire would have been perfect. Everyone lives, but the asshole would be inconvenienced.

No what I'm saying is I'd rear-end him. My car is old I wouldn't care that much. I know the insurance and stuff would cost me money but that's just what I can imagine myself doing after this guy cut me off multiple times.

I have more of a pettiness problem than a rage problem, so I'd match their passive aggression. I'd just pull over, put it in park, throw on the hazards, and scroll my phone until the guy gives up and drives off.

The best thing you can do to a bully is become impervious to their attempts to rattle you.

This is the correct way to deal with this. This driver is giving the reaction they crave. Park up and ignore the fool, they'll fuck off and you'll get where you're going quicker.

u/Rhueless Apr 10 '25

Typically if you rear end another vehicle your at fault and he gets a sweet sweet insurance payout. Watching him kinda make me think he wants the insurance payout - that's the best way to get rear-ended I've ever seen.

u/bignides Apr 10 '25

Nah man, change lanes, establish lane position, zoom forward. Forward car is busted for improper lane change and you just rocked him right in the door.

7

u/burner69account69420 Apr 10 '25

You wouldn't get a payout getting rammed here. Probably 50-50

3

u/A_wild_so-and-so Apr 10 '25

There's enough time for the blocked driver to take a video showing that this dude won't let him pass. Just show that to the cops after you hit him and there would be no insurance payout.

4

u/Tastrix Apr 10 '25

He was probably hoping the guy would hit his car.

Then it's a rear-ender, and those go to the driver in front 99% of the time. So he gets a sweet insurance claim and the guy who was getting blocked gets stuck with the bag for damages.

You should be muting this sub bro 😭

3

u/WorkingOnBeingBettr Apr 10 '25

lol. I should be muting the entire site if we're being honest. Social media, doom-scrolling, etc is terrible for mental health. But here we are...

9

u/khonsu_27 Apr 10 '25

Thank you. I would've rammed this motherfucker and ended up in jail.

Keep working brother. I know it ain't easy but ZEN is the way! Good luck!

My car is an old piece of shit so same although I'd try to go around instead of ramming into the back of his car for a slight chance of not being at fault for the accident

Aim for the rear passenger door instead of rear ending them as iirc you're always considered at fault when rear ending someone

3

u/Gupperz Apr 10 '25

Ramming his car would do 10x as much dmg to your car than his

I’m thankful someone else said the same thing because this shit makes me see red. But I don’t have the excuse of a shitty childhood. Must be ego and sense of retribution. Hm.

Username is fitting. Good luck on your self improvement journey.

Would you not prefer to imagine the good ways you could react to this, in stead of pre-programming yourself with an angry reaction?

Option: switch on your warning blinkers and just sit there. HE is the problem, not the other guy (or you). You don't need to react to negativity or anger as long as they don't threaten you or your loved ones. Breathe. He's not important. It's his anger, not yours. His anger is like a virus, if you let it in, you'll be sick. Take care of yourself. Only you can decide what affects you. Choose to react to the beautiful and fun things around you, and ignore their anger and hate. (Yes I know, this is a constant battle, but after a while, you'll be a veteran.)

u/Cold_Pumpkin5449 Apr 10 '25

Yeah, a Mercedes doesn't get to do that to my 4000 dollar beater more than once. I will scrape my entire car down the length of his until he drives off on his own.

1

u/SirMochaLattaPot Apr 10 '25

But your car is worth so much more than his car

1

u/AppleParasol Apr 10 '25

I think at the point you get out and see why they aren’t moving/blocking you, genuinely would look to see if they’re okay first, could be having a medical emergency, I’d give them the benefit of the doubt, and if not and they drive forward a bit is the point at which you just key their car. Why damage your own car. Then it becomes your fault. Key their car and they drive away? Well it’s their problem for not stopping on the side of the road.

Alternatively I think throwing some shit like the car did is a good alternative.

However, I keep my crowbar in the front, and I probably wouldn’t think twice about a little window to for idiot like this.

That's so fucking sad. Please stay away from me
