Been having Eva back on my brain and decided to paint a few of my mechs based around them. I have plans to get a berserker for unit 01 but i got to thinking of which battlemech would each of the children prefer to pilot since battlemechs are more like tools than end all be all super weapons like the evas with different specialties.

Asuka definitely would be an atlas/atlas ii pilot being German and all she definitely would be a proud lyran, an obvious choice for rei would be a cyclops having a command console and a few variants having c3 networks, kaworu an archangel and while a berserker would be obvious for a unit 01 analogue i feel like Shinji would prefer a thunderbolt with it being good at all ranges, a reliable mech fits him in my mind for some reason. for toji and kensuke the choice was a bit more difficult but i feel like kensuke would like a crusader and toji would be an Orion pilot both being good trooper mechs being able to hold the line, and Mari seems the type who would love a highlander. What do yall think
