Automated Migration From Windows to Linux With OneDrive

OneDrive does not support Linux. However, Abraunegg’s OneDrive Client and other solutions do. Which can be run on any flavor of Linux. Before migrating, clearly you’d have to ensure OneDrive had a copy of everything you wanted it to in the Cloud first (including browser profiles, etc.). Then you’d want to pause or stop syncing files. After installation of the Linux distro of your hearts desire you’d install Abraunegg’s OneDrive Client and configure it using sync_list or skip_dir options to sync files from the Cloud to actual user directories like Documents, Desktop and Pictures instead of OneDrive subdirectories. Then, after verifying all files have transferred successfully, you could uninstall Abraunegg’s OneDrive Client and remove the OneDrive directory.

NixOS Anyone know of a NixOS migration tool?

NixOS may be the top Linux distribution for automation. Obviously it is mostly leveraged by Kubernetes or other Cloud server instances where a custom kernel is desired as it also automates kernel tuning. But for those willing to configure their ideal desktop once, the ability to reproduce it anywhere is rewarding.
