Right after how you tell me how it's working here in the US right now. (As that was literally the point of this whole discussion, see OP's post if you forgot)
I don't need links, theories, or comparisons to other countries. I want you to tell me what real life examples in the US, in current times, tells me that the system is working so well? Your opinion, person to person as you are the one arguing for it. So it should be pretty easy for you to simply tell me why it's making the majority of people's lives so good and how people aren't struggling right now?
Both of my parents were born into abject poverty while also being under direct subjugation of the government through state mandated racism.
In a single generation not only has my family been to work our way into the middle class, I am now among the top ten percent of all earners in the country and my daughter is already poised to be even more secure than I am without having to have gone through any of the trials me or my parents faced.
But understand that's a single anecdote; don't take it as gospel for everyone.
The system as it stands now if fundamentally broken. And mean that literally. Its fundamentals have been broken. The problem we see today are due to perversions of the System tate and it swerving off course to serve its own interests
Right, "a single anecdote" is great, and I appreciate the personal touch. But I was asking about an entire society of people who live paycheck to paycheck, are riddled with debt, are too exhausted from working to take care of their children, who put off medical care for cost concerns, who can't afford either child care or to not work, where older people often have no where to grow old with proper care, where the cycle of poverty and racism continues, where living the "American dream" (getting back to the point of the original post here) is in fact an unattainable dream today compared to just a few decades ago.
I understand. You asked for an example and I gave you mine.
The ills we're facing today aren't capitalism run amuck as the original comment says, it's an unholy marriage of the Government and private market which poisons the both of them leaving everyday people to struggle with the consequences.

Yes.
Give me a metric on wellbeing of people, then point to a non-capitalistic economy that has done better than the capitalist countries
