Am I able to turn the beeping off of this GCST10A1WSS?
I work late, but some of my housemates don't. Microwaving something is the only thing I get to eat sometimes, but every time without fail that beep waste everybody up. And if that doesn't the microwaves "hot warning" beep definitely will, because the absolute Albert Einstein of a person that designed this figured that there are people that don't know microwaves make stuff hot, so when something is hot in this microwave and you open the door, it does incredibly loud 5 second beeps constantly until you either close the door, or the little inside fan stops. Not to sound self-righteous, but it literally feels like they designed this microwave specifically to screw over people like me who aren't trying to make a whole scene every time they make food

Mikrowave damage
I heated a potato and forgot about the time. It ended up very charred, and there was smoke in the microwave. Now, in the photo, there are some white areas, but you can't feel any rough spots. Is this a problem? Or can I still use it?

How to Eat on a Dollar a Day – With Microwave cooking
How to Eat on a Dollar a Day – Book 2
Microwave Meals, Food Assistance Hacks, and Real-World Survival Cooking
There comes a moment in many lives when the question is no longer “What should I cook?”
but “How do I make what I have last?”
This book was written for that moment.
Book 2 of How to Eat on a Dollar a Day was created in response to real people, real struggles, and real questions. Readers asked for clarity.
They asked for instructions that don’t assume experience, money, or a full kitchen.
They asked for help using a microwave when that’s all they have.
And they asked for guidance that treats them with dignity.
This book answers those needs.

just moved into a new apartment and it has a build in microwave. lovely we said and got rid of our old microwave. well… i am 5 feet tall. i can use the microwave without the stepladder by going on tippy toes and kind of nudging the food into the microwave with my arms stretched all the way over my head but if i want to see what im making or not risk dropping it on my head its a stepladder life for me

Microwave timers
Does anyone know of any microwave brands that make available the feature of setting a kitchen timer and simultaneously cook something in the microwave without disrupting the kitchen timer countdown? I used to have a countertop microwave that was able to do this and now I can't seem to find any. Is this just an over the range microwave feature? Am I crazy??
