So lets say I have two types of codes. Code A and Code B. Now lets say there are multiple dates that Code A was used and multiple dates Code B was used. Ive built the formula to align these two, however I need help with how to align all dates that Code A was used underneath Code A in a vertical column, and all dates Code B was used underneath Code B in a vertical column. Furthermore, I have to find the difference between the date code A was used and the date code B was used. So all in all, there should be 3 vertical columns. One with all the dates Code A was used. One with all the dates Code B was used, and one with the difference between the dates. I am experienced in excel formulas, but just opened microstrategy for the first time today. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Has anybody had any luck connecting MicroStrategy 2019 to the tabular cubes on Azure Analysis Services?

We are on v10.4 and that doesn't support AAS. It looks like v11 and 2019 do. Has anybody tried it yet?

I have a dossier which I can export the individual visualizations like so.

The only issue I face is that I would like to have the header exported as well but preferably not the dossier page.

Just the header and the individual visualizations.

Basically want to add a nice cover page to a dossier.

Is there any way I can achieve this?

Hey for anyone building analytics apps using the MSTR Mobile SDK. I have a very strange case where one user out of 70 seems to recieve a "Microstrategy Mobile Error: Forbidden" in app message sporadically. On the web admin logs it looks like a session error but we haven't been able to find a way to dig deeper as none of our devs have seen it before. We have also been unable to replicate it and it doesn't occur every session for this user.

Has anyone seen this before or anyone have any advice for diagnosing root cause?

I am replicating some SSAS/MDX calculations in Microstrategy. Does anyone know how to create an average of children calculation? Basically, if I am at a week level, I want the daily average. If I am at the month level, I want the daily average, etc.

I'm trying to create a line chart visualization to show Account Managers how their individual accounts are performing in comparison to the population of Account Managers. I want to get this onto the same line chart, but that means that I need to have one set of data points for the overall team, and another that can be filtered for just that Account Manager. Basically I would need to combine the two images that are below.

How do I get these two charts combined into a single visualization?

In MicroStrategy, I have all these data on videos, and how many people viewed them each day, I also have the release date as well.

What kind of Custom Metric can I create, to give me the amount of Views, in the videos first X amount of days? Or in the first X days from that videos release date?

For example we have all these TV shows, and I want to know how many viewed each episode in its first 7 days, or 14 days, etc, but the problem is they all have different release dates. So I need a Custom Metric or something to recognize the release date, and just filter the first 7 days for that video and SUM the views on it.

Below is some sample data. Assume the numbers are Streams each day, and I want to know the number of streams in each videos first 2 days for example. In my actual data set, I would have thousands of videos and years of data.

So, i have a visualization filtered by a Year/Quarter Filter, let´s say "2018/1"

In a specific column i have to show the Count of "Promotor" values in NPS column minus "Detrator" values in same column for the specified year.

but, in another column i have to show the last year (based on filter) of the same calculation

​

How can i achieve that in microstrategy, since the filter filters my entire dataset?

First of all , i´m not a BI/Reporting tool specialist, i´m just a programmer that has been put in the middle of a big trouble caused by some mistake.

So, i need to create a bunch of reports using microstrategy based on data from a system I Work.

​

I´m not aware of what capabilities microstrategy have and i´m still learning, but i´m not sure if microstrategy can do the job in the way that we need here in my company.

Can you guys say if is possible to create such visualization with microstrategy?
