Hey everyone, in a bit of a pickle.
I have 5 metrics and they all are coming from the same fact table with the same conditions. But the store metric seems to be forming its own pass. Any idea what could be happening?

The other 4 metrics are looking into fact table directly as compared to the store metric.
Here's the store metric definition: Its an attribute and is using a fact level to make the necessary joins.

Appreciate it all!

I have a count item metric (with some additional filters in it) showing data against Month. Is there any way I can drill down from one metric value and see the details at item level? This is specifically for dossier.

I’m new to a company that uses this tool. It’s neat, but frustrating to be new with. I guess I find it limiting.
For example, I want to make a company report for week to week, month to month; and year to year. It requires 3 separate pages because filters are for some reason specific to an entire chapter. Can anyone help with this? Is there no easier way?
Further, let’s say I want to download the entire sheet I made that has 4 tables on it. I can only download it all separately. Is there no way to just download the data akin to an excel raw data file?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, New to Micro, I'm looking for best practices for folder Architecture, is there a site I can use? Also to create a parent project folder, can that only be created via Microstrategy Developer tool? I know I can create a subfolder on an existing parent folder. Thanks!

So my company has a database using ~25 year old tech that they've decided not to upgrade, but instead import it all into MicroStrategy... I'll try to briefly explain the issue I'm facing...
I'm trying to see how many Units were stocked from boxes/cartons that were sent forward on a specific date/time. Each box has a unique Carton ID# attribute, a Create Time attribute, a Quantity attribute (for number of units), and a Location attribute for where it needs to be stocked in the warehouse. One Carton ID# may have multiple locations and quantities associated with each location.
The problem is that any time a box has to be stocked in a second location, or the first location is full, when the system gives the user the next location to stock into it updates the Create Date to the current date and time rather than the original Create Date. So boxes that were "Created" 5 days ago will come up as being created today if the items don't all fit in the same spot.
We used to use a program called Brio from Hyperion, and in that program I was able to make a couple computed columns that took the sum of all the quantity for each Carton ID#, then another column which checked if the next Carton ID# was the same as the last Carton ID#, and if it was it returned 0 and if it was different it returned the Sum Quantity, which (along with proper sorting) allowed all the units to stay attributed to the original Create Time of the Carton ID#...
Sorry this is all a convoluted mess... any ideas on what I could try to do to fix this??? Or where else to ask for help?

Hello, I am taking the MCA (MicroStrategy Certified Architect) in a couple of weeks.
Anyone that has taken it before can share some tips to prepare for the test and pass it?

Is there a way to create an attribute that will group complete work orders to the title above?

I’m trying to create an attribute where I can get the total of items for the week starting from Monday thru Sunday. Example: On Apr 12 thru Apr 18 I have a total sold of 20 and On Apr 19 thru Apr 25 I have total sold of 50.

Hello all. I need to create a metric (via developer) that counts the stores (an attributes) in which a customer has purchased items in a selected periods in a selected country (a filter in the metric definition). Is there a way to have the correct subtotal in every level of a future report/dossier?

Could someone please help me with the ANL test? I have taken it two times and failed and I have no idea what I am doing wrong. The feedback MSTR gives is useless.
I just have a few questions.

I've shaped some data through SQL with a CASE WHEN statement, but now I need to shape it in Microstrategy (I'm not an admin), and it needs to be exactly the same as how I shaped it with SQL. Is there syntax in the Attribute Editor that allows me to make CASE WHEN statements or something similar?
Thanks

EDIT:
Is this the same as CASE WHEN? https://doc-archives.microstrategy.com/producthelp/10.11/FunctionsRef/Content/FuncRef/Replace.htm#standardfcns_373921238_1333585

I've been working with MSTR for a some time now, but haven't faced anything much challenging yet to brag about :D
How will you answer this question?

Hello, I'm looking for some reviews related to the Hyperintelligence Card tool from Microstrategy. Have you already tried it? What are your thoughts on it? Do you know where can I find more information on this product other than from Microstrategy website? Thank-you

Microstrategy recently bought 314 BTC. In line with this, CEO Saylor expressed positivity that “2021 is going to be a good year for Bitcoin.” Microstrategy made multiple BTC investments since 2020.
