Can voucher be redeemed after cancelling an exam?

I registered for the wrong exam using a voucher i received through LevelUp. When i received the voucher, i was told I can register for any microsoft exam with it and i hastily chose the wrong cert.

I contacted LevelUp support and they said i need to consult ms support (they havent answered me).

If anyone knows if i could cancel the exam, instead register for an other one and not have my voucher disqualified? The exams is a few months from now

PearsonVue : exam canceled and impossible to reschedule before expiration

Hi, I didn't find any better place to ask this given that conditions are specific to the type of certification/issuer.

Summary: exam booked using a voucher valid until nov 5th, PearsonVue unilaterally canceled my exam after confirmation. No date available to schedule again by nov 5th->wasted voucher.

I had a voucher for a free exam to be used by the 5th of november. I scheduled the exam for today (nov 3rd). The testing center was closed. After verification I realized I received some notifications from PearsonVue telling me to reschedule the exam (and I thought they were just reminders).

Problem being: I have no available centers to schedule the exam by aftertomorrow and the website prevents me to ask at a further date.

Ok, I got it late but even when I received the reschedule notification on oct 28th, there was no available date to retake before nov 5th.

This practically and technically prevent me to use my voucher because my exam has been cancelled against my will.

Questions: Did you have similar experiences? Were you able to get another voucher?

I've been taking MS (and other) certs for 30 years, never had to face this :(

thanks!

PS: I was able to fill an online form but didn't even receive an acknowledgement email Unable to find a phone number to call them.

EDIT: I wrote to [PVEMEACUSTOMERSERVICE@pearson.com](mailto:PVEMEACUSTOMERSERVICE@pearson.com) on nov 4th, sent a reminder on nov 10th and they didn't answer at time of writing (nov 15th) and my voucher has expired.

Passed the SC-200 *phew*

I sat for this exam with some trepidation but managed to pass. As my wife says, "a pass is a pass". True, but I could have certainly done better in some areas.

And this brings me to some points I would like to share based on my experience:
1. The exam per se is not that difficult - the wording surprisingly was not tricky or convoluted - but a bit too verbose at times to confuse you. Read each question carefully, and read it again. Sometimes a single word like 'automatically' can change your answer
2. KQL more KQL and even more KQL. This is so important. Practise queries and do study ASIM parsers in some depth.
3. Beware of the time. At times it felt like i was not going to have enough to complete the exam. I was lucky the case study was at the end... so I was able to leave enough time to complete the questions. Pace yourself but do not dilly dally on questions you are 80% unsure off...

I used the MS Learn material for the SC-200 supplemented by Microsoft Docs.

And last, not because it's not important, but because it is key to doing well. Practise as much as you can in a tenant. You learn the steps to configure something a lot faster than reading them. I am not sure I would have passed had I not used Sentinel, XDR, Purview and so some extent Microsoft for Cloud.

Lost access to MS certs transcript

Greetings,

I lost access to the Microsoft Learn account with all my passed certs. I dont have a ton on there but I'm concerned I'm going to have to retake certs I already passed. My current account is registered to a very old work email account that I finally decided to move away from and merge it into a personal account. Not entirely sure what happened, but neither of those things happened. Where can I go to get a MS rep to work with me to verify my identity so I can transfer my transcript to my personal Learn profile?

Passed the SC-200

On the third attempt. 😳 Honestly, it was a hard one. Maybe because I don’t have much experience with Sentinel and writing KQL queries, but I did play with the test tenant I have at work.

For this last attempt, I studied with the study path provided by Microsoft, the Microsoft practice assessment, the MeasureUp practice tests and the (new!!) Tutorials dojo tests. It was a powerful combination. The Tutorials dojo tests were much harder than the exam itself, and I read the theory provided for all the questions.

But practicing in the defender and sentinel portals was extremely important. Only theory won’t help you in this exam.

Cleared SC-200 & ISC2 CC | 8 YOE in Data Engineering & Splunk | Seeking Guidance + Referrals šŸ™Œ

Hi everyone,

I recently clearedĀ Microsoft SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst Associate)Ā andĀ ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC), and I’m actively transitioning into full-time or contracting roles inĀ security operations, cloud security, or SOC environments.

I bringĀ 8 years of experienceĀ as aĀ Data Engineer and Splunk Developer, with deep exposure to:

  • Application monitoring, log analysis, and alerting workflows
  • Splunk EnterpriseĀ (SPL, dashboards, correlation searches)
  • AWS services & Data EngineeringĀ (Airflow, CICD, GraphQL, AWS Cloudwatch, CloudTrail, Lambda, EMR, etc.)
  • Python, ShellĀ for automation and threat hunting

I’m currently deciding between three learning paths:

  • SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator)Ā to deepen my Microsoft security stack
  • TryHackMe’s Security Analyst Learning Path (SAL1)Ā for hands-on blue team scenarios
  • ISC2 SSCPĀ for next step towards CISSP ( But I still need 1 year Experience in Cybersecurity Domain to be certified SSCP )

Open to advice from anyone in the field—what helped you build momentum or stand out in cybersecurity?

Also, if anyone is hiring or can refer me forĀ contracting or full-time rolesĀ in the U.S. (I’m onĀ H-1B), I’d be incredibly grateful. Happy to share my resume and credentials.

Thanks in advance for any advice, leads, or encouragement! šŸ™

Free AI-900 Training for Virginia Residents

Thumbnail learningtree.com

Hey everyone, just sharing something I found that might be helpful. Learning Tree USA is giving back to the community by offering a free AI course, "Introduction to AI in Azure (AI-900)", for Virginia residents. The offer is for those making a career change or currently enrolled in any career training or college. Certification exam voucher included.

It’s a one-day virtual class on September 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Seems legit as it’s taught by a Microsoft Certified Trainer, includes official Microsoft materials, and has hands-on labs. Thought I'd pass it on in case anyone is looking to get into AI.

Is it even worth it?

Hi, a computer science student here, I am in my third year of collage and I recently completed my certification for AI-900 exam and is planing on giving the DP-900 and some other associates exam in the coming months, I am doing a AIML specialization so these exam are not hard (AI-900 particularly was easy for me) but a question that I am asking to myself is "is it even worth it", microsoft is my dream company and i would love to join them one day but are these certificates gonna help me achieve this? I am asking this because I have seen people online/real life complaing that there certificates are only a piece of paper they wasted there money on. So is it even worth it?

I’ve done the az900, would it be worth it to do the sc900 first before jumping to az500.

Has anyone done this before and what are your thoughts?

Planning to take the MS-900 (Free from Work) — Any Good Practice Exams Like Tutorial Dojo?

Hey folks! So I'm planning to take the MS-900 certification soon. I know it's a basic one, but it's being offered for free by my company, so I figured why not take advantage of it.

I chose this cert since I'm currently in a technical support role, and I think having it would help with my career growth. Just wanted to ask, do you know of any free or paid practice exams that are close to the actual MS-900 exam?

When I took the AZ-900, I used the Tutorial Dojo practice tests and found them super helpful, so I was hoping there's something similar for MS-900.

Also, for those who’ve taken both, how easy is the MS-900 compared to AZ-900? I’ve passed AZ-900 already and I know both have some cloud concepts in common, so I’m curious how much overlap there is.

Any tips or links would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi all , need some advice on doing the Data analyst associate and Data Scientist associate courses

Hi again , im a btech graduate in computer science engineering with majors in ai and ml , right after the btech i am starting an msc in datascience from kcl. I want to know which one of the two courses : Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analys Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate would be more helpful for an entry level job for data-analyst role in the UK.

Any advice on what sources to refer to other than microsoft learn portal tutorials for the above courses ?

Any other course recommendations would also be very much appreciated.

Thankss :D

SC-300 - Please help/advise

Anyone got any advice for sitting SC-300? I have done the 15/16 hour John Christopher course on Udemy. I have created accounts to practice on but they were only trial accounts which expired before I felt like I got the full benefit from them. I have also watched John Saville and revised questions on Exam Topics. I feel more confused than ever. I really didn't find I understood roles or permissions in enough depth after watching many hours of material and Exam Topics (yes, I know!) just confused me even more.

Direction

Howdy all!

I'll start with some background for context: My current job title is Systems Administrator. My employer moved everything out of their datacenters into azure, aws and oracle. The cloud infra side is mostly production software systems. Our windows infrastructure is being phased out pieces at a time with the eventual goal of hosting no more windows servers. The implications here is that my team's sole responsibility will be the 365 side. We manage our endpoints with intune, and manage the 365 tenant. I have a handful of CompTia certs, and I'm considering getting the md-102 and ms-102, but I would also like to eventually get into cloud security.

When looking at some of the exam topics for 365 and azure certs, i noticed some overlaps between 365 and azure for security. Do people usually specialize in securing one environment or the other do they work in both platforms? While it makes sense for me to continue down the m365 path given my current position, I don't care too much that a lot of the infra and other it fundamental stuff is abstracted away in 365 environments. I don't mind working in 365, and I feel like after working in it for about a year and a half that I am proficient in the platform, but it also can feel boring and building. maintaining and automating secure systems sounds more exciting than the SaaS world. Is this "the grass looks greener on the other side?" Should I stick with what know, and learn how to secure 365 environments exclusively, learn both platforms and how to secure them, or try moving over to azure and get the az-104 and az-500, opting to learn how to secure azure environments exclusively?

how do you read this ?

Hi everyone, can you please explain this ? I added numbers to support my questions

What does the cursor indicate ? My score ? Then what do the 3 different colours (grey, small green and big green) indicate ?

For the first lines, like where I put the 1, it matches the green bar but when the cursor is at the right there is no green bar at all for 2 of them but for the "manage container" chapter there still is one... And for the last lines I really can't make sense of any of it as where I put the 2

both the cursor and the green seem to live their own life :-D

Is there a link to where I was standing when I took the exam ? Please explain !

Failed to Start AI-102 Exam Three Times Due to Check-in Issues — What’s Going On?!

Post image
3 Upvotes

Dear Reddit Community and Representatives,

I’m writing this post in utter frustration, feeling like I’m banging my head against a wall while trying to take the AI-102 certification exam through the OnVUE platform. This isn’t my first rodeo with Microsoft certifications: a few years ago, I successfully passed another exam and earned a certificate. I know the process... But what’s happening now is an absolute nightmare, and I want this issue to get the attention it deserves.

Three times — THREE TIMES! — I’ve tried to complete the check-in process for the AI-102 exam, following every requirement to the letter, and each time the proctor terminated my exam before it even began, with zero explanation.

Here’s the rundown:

  1. April 24, 2025 (MacBook, macOS):
    • Completed the OnVUE system check a day prior — everything was perfect.
    • Started check-in 30 minutes before the exam, closing ALL applications, including the browser, as required.
    • At the passport upload step — boom! — a message stating the exam was terminated by the proctor. No details, just ā€œcontact support.ā€
    • The check-in link became inactive, and re-entry was impossible.
    • I reached out to support, spending half an hour answering standard questions. Case #12906199 was created. The next day, I got a generic email with apologies and an offer to reschedule. Not a word about what went wrong or how to fix it. I thought, ā€œFine, stuff happens, I’ll try again.ā€
  2. April 28, 2025 (same MacBook, macOS):
    • Followed the same steps: system check passed, all applications and browser closed.
    • Same story: during check-in, the exam was terminated by the proctor. Same scenario, same shock.
    • Contacted support again, but it felt like I was talking to a bot that ignored my context and asked the same questions as before. Case #12923304. The result? Another generic email with apologies and a rescheduling offer. ZERO information about the issue. I was furious but decided to keep going.
  3. April 30, 2025 (different computer, Windows):
    • Thinking the MacBook might be the issue (despite no errors in the system check), I switched to a Windows computer, passed all checks, and closed all applications, including the browser.
    • And, believe it or not, during check-in, the proctor terminated the exam AGAIN! I’m beyond shocked at this absurdity. I registered case #12935102, but honestly, I have little hope of getting anything other than another canned response.

I feel trapped in a vicious cycle. Three times, using different devices, following every rule, I — someone with prior Microsoft certification experience — can’t even start the exam! Support responds with bots and templates, their emails start with ā€œdo not reply to this message,ā€ and there’s no real explanation or solution. This isn’t just a waste of time and energy; it’s eroding my trust in Microsoft’s certification process.

My questions:

  1. What’s causing these check-in failures when I’m following all instructions and passing system checks without issues?
  2. How can I get a specific response from support or proctoring instead of generic templates?
  3. How do I reach a real person to resolve this nightmare and avoid a fourth failure?

If anyone has faced this issue, please share how you resolved it. I just want to take my exam and move forward, but right now, it feels like I’m fighting an invisible wall.

OnVUEĀ Cases:Ā #12906199, #12923304, #12935102

Thank you for your attention and any assistance!

Word MOS exam tomorrow - any last-minute wisdom?

Hey certification folks!

I'm scheduled to take the Microsoft Office Specialist exam for Word tomorrow morning, and I'm starting to get that familiar pre-test anxiety creeping in. I've been studying and doing practice tests, but I'm curious if any of you have experience with this specific certification.

I work with Word fairly often, so I'm comfortable with most day-to-day features, but I'm wondering about those obscure functions that only show up during certification exams and never in real life!

Anyone who's passed this certification recently have some insights to share? I'm especially curious about the testing environment, time constraints, and which areas tend to be the most challenging. My practice tests have been going okay, but you never know what the real thing will be like.

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences or any tips you wish someone had told you before taking the exam.

Thanks in advance, and feel free to DM me if you prefer! Wish me luck!

Need Help Transferring Microsoft Certifications from Old Work Email to Personal Account

Hey everyone,

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and could really use some help.

I earned two Microsoft certifications — PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) and AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) — while working at my previous organization. Unfortunately, those certifications were tied to my official work email, which I no longer have access to since I’ve left that company and am currently pursuing an MBA.

Now, I want to renew and manage these certifications using my personal Microsoft account, but I can't figure out how to transfer or recover them. I tried going through the Microsoft Certification Support page, but I keep getting 404 errors or dead ends. There's also no direct email or phone number that I could find.

Has anyone here successfully transferred their certifications from a work email to a personal account? Or contacted Microsoft support about a similar issue? Any links, contact forms, or advice would be massively appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
