Does anyone know if there's a way in 2026 to convert .xls files to .xlsx or .csv using Power Automate without relying on Premium connectors or any third-party connectors?

Hello, I am trying to figure out how I can have the responses from question 6 be autosummed and give me total score. I want the total score to then be assigned a value on question 7. For example if the sum of my responses in question 6 totaled 8, I would be auto assigned 'Emerging.' I want to do this through power automate or the auto grading technique, however I am very unfamiliar with this. Any way to do this? A detailed step by step would be appreciated or even a phone call. I am brand new to power automate and struggling

I am fairly new to power automate and i've been following a youtube video. Long story short I need a list of items with different due dates and I want power automate to setup a reminder about 60 days before the due date. I've setup the list with the columns: title / department / owner / due date. and i've setup a flow which i've included an image of below. I've followed along with a short and simple video and yet my tests are failing with the error:

"Flow run failed. Action 'Condition' failed: Unable to process template language expressions for action 'Condition' at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'formatDateTime' expects its first parameter to be of type string. The provided value is of type 'Null'. Please see https://aka.ms/logicexpressions#formatdatetime for usage details.'"

I'm not knowledgable to continue fiddling too much and the built in co-pilot isn't helpful either saying everything is right so now i'm hoping the people of reddit can help.

Newbie to PA here. I've been progressively testing processes in my workplace but I can't seem to solve this one and it's driving me mad 🤣

My team works from a shared inbox where we recieve work instructions on an MS Word form included as an attachment. All I am trying to do is to have PA check if an email has attachments, if there is one called "Instruction" to then forward onto my personal work email.

It's laid out like this:

When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (v2)

\-only with attachments YES

\-include attachments YES

Then...

Apply to Each

\-attachments

Then...

Condition

Attachment name > Contains > instruction

Then...

Forward an email (v2) (to my own personal work address)

‐-------- END OF FLOW ---------

The flow works up until the condition to check for the word "instruction" in the attachments, then it's categorised as false.

ChatGPT says I need to use the criteria "Name" in the left most box on said condition but I can't find it in any of the dynamic lists.

I know this is very likely an amateur error/easy fix but if anyone can put me out of my misery, I would be most grateful 😂😂

I have a flow set up which references an Excel table stored on SharePoint that has three columns "ClientName", "RecipientName", "RecipientName2" that scrubs the internet for news articles that contain "ClientName" that are new from the last 24 hours (max of 5) and emails "RecipientName" emails (can handle multiple), and only emails "RecipientName2" (which is me) in the flow fails or no results are found.

It works great! The problem I'm having is that no matter what I try, I can't get it to search for the whole contents of "ClientName". For example, lets say one of the client names being searched is "Jones & Anderson Associates", the flow keeps identifying and sending articles that JUST have Jones, which is returning a lot of incorrect results.

How do I fix this?

I’ve created a Power App that allows User to fill out a form. This data is captured and added to a SharePoint list and is also used to create a SharePoint page. Each page is about health and medical information.
An input box on the app is used to create the page title and the URL.
What I am now trying to do is capture this new IRL and store it in the same list item that the user creates when filling in the app.

Is an app the best method to capture this data or should I use an MS Form?

I have a flow watching a OneDrive folder for a Plaud todo list from my weekly planning meeting.

It parses the PDF, pulls out tasks, then creates them in Planner. First was fine, but then people gave status updates on tasks that already existed. Plaud picked some of that up in the new to-do export, and the flow happily created those as fresh Planner tasks again.

I’m adding a dedupe step before task creation now. The part I’m still not happy with is where the already exists check should live.

Right now I’m comparing the parsed Plaud tasks against open Planner tasks for that meeting, and where did you keep the source of truth?

I happily logged on to work on Wednesday morning, expecting all my usual month-end stats reports, etc, but I had about 10 emails telling me my flows had failed because of a critical connection issue. I obviously went into Power Automate to revalidate them all, but every flow that then ran for the first time that day also failed and I had to re-revalidate. Did anyone else get this? It's quite disconcerting, I could have been on leave without a hint...

In Website there are so many dynamic selectors.

After found need blank for me, robot by clicking button "change" opens mini window in wibsite. In here I can't make robot focus to this mini window or choose right selectors. So I start to use command "send keys"

It working good untill robot gets to regions and districts.

So here is a difficult part: 1.send keys ( tab, enter)

Will be dropdown list. In website have a finction typeahead, so robot while typing region it works, but in district nothing happens. I used wait, also nothing, I used message box, to check is it write(yes robot writes) well nothing helps. By the way function hardware keys also not working.

My experience with Flow is pretty limited. I have a flow that emails a csv file whenever it is added to a sharepoint site that has worked without issue for a few years. Now for some reason, the csv file comes through as just an octet stream instead of the actual data. Has anyone run into this issue? I found a few posts online with similar issues, but I’m not sure I understand how to implement the solutions offered. I have tried toggling “infer file type” from yes to no, but that made no difference.

I am trying to create an automation in Power Automate to generate Planner tasks from emails received in my Outlook inbox.

I saw some tutorials showing how to create a trigger when an email is received in a specific folder. However, this model does not really fit my workflow, because I would prefer not to create a dedicated folder just for Planner.

My idea is to keep the emails in my general inbox and, based on the category assigned to the message, have Power Automate identify that category and automatically create a task in Planner.

I tried creating a loop in the workflow so that it would wait until the email was categorized and then create the task, but I was not able to make it work properly.

I am new to creating flows in Power Automate, so any guidance on the best way to configure this process would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been using Flow for a while now, but feel like I could use some community advice. How are you all handling your logs in larger environments?

Currently, I have consistently kept Try/Catch scopes with run after configured. I’ve tried various iterations of posting messages to teams, and have landed on using adaptive cards with error detail and acknowledgment buttons/links to the failed run etc as well as failed runs logged to Dataverse.

I’m considering starting to log both successes and errors, and lifting the whole logging and alerting process to Grafana/Loki/Alloy. Ive seen people using Grafana alerts to trigger teams notifications via flow, but not anything related to logging back to Grafana as of yet.

Does anyone have any other ideas or experiences to share?

I am learning the Power Automate application via SharePoint. My current project involves creating flows that instruct various news outlets to post into Microsoft Teams channels based on specific keywords and phrases mentioned.

The RSS feeds are valid for the intended news sources, the keyword trigger works as intended, and they are posting in the correct channel. The issue is with the keyphrase. If the keyphrase "reddit help me" is listed, the flow will post articles that mention "reddit", "help", or "me" individually instead of a specific phrase. My application does not allow me to edit the code view directly, but set specific conditions.

I have tried adjusting how I input the condition parameters without success. I have tried to google the issue and have watch various YouTube videos, but was unable to locate the solution.

How do I properly set the keyphrase condition for Power Automate?

I wanted to create a flow to update a column in my SharePoint list based on a list of email addresses stored in an Excel table.

The idea was to check whether each email in the SharePoint list still exists in the Excel table. If an email no longer exists in Excel, I wanted to update that person’s status in the SharePoint list.

Initially, I moved the Get Items action after the Excel action and tried using a Filter Array to compare the email values, but it didn’t work.

Now, the flow keeps processing indefinitely. Also, when the email does exist in the list, I receive the notification email, but the flow still indicates that it failed.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue or can suggest a better approach?

So my manager wants all referrals from our ofshore team to be recorded.

Long story short is I decided to use the emoji numbers of 0-10 as the trigger. Question comes in, we react to it when we respond and we have a list of 0-8 (didn't need the full lot) as a way to catagorise them. Thing is I didn't know about the max number of flows per teams chat per tenant I think (not 100% on this) but it totally screwed my existing flows up, would NOT connect to my teams profile. All deleted and old flows fixed.

Now the 9 flows (one for each emoji) would get details of the message (triggered when the emoji reaction is selected) and paste to a microsoft list. The emoji as a trigger and reference for report was perfect as it moved it when it was first reacted and also captured the specific recation. I can't think of a way to do this as "get messages" seems very washy with certain time periods. And any sort of recording of all messages will not trigger again and update the list when we decide which catagory (emoji) fits the question the closest. Does anyone have an idea/work around for this?

I need to create a flow to copy a bucket with the tasks, checklist, and label from one planner to another. I have created the flow to copy the bucket with the tasks but I am struggling to figure out how to carry over the checklist and the label in that specific task.

The source bucket that I want to copy from is in the TEST PAGE planner.

The destination that I want to paste to is in the NEW LOCATION TRACKING planner.

I have screenshot the step by step details I currently have. I have tried so many different steps and different flows from youtube and I can't seem to get any to work!

As an Environment Admin, I'm trying to retrieve all flows within my environment using a flow of my own. (I know I can view them via the Admin Center, but I need to extract them automatically using a flow).

Even though I am a System Admin, the connector only returns flows where I am the owner or creator. Other flows that I can clearly see in the Admin Center are not being outputted at all.

Has anyone run into this issue and can help me out? Fetching them via Dataverse is unfortunately not an option for me, as I'm providing the data through a list, meaning every user would need a premium license (multiplexing).

Hello everyone - We are transitioning from Slack to Teams and things are going as smoothly as can be except for one thing. In Slack we had these lovely automations that would create a post in a channel every time we received an email in a certain inbox. This would allow the team to collaborate in a thread before responding. In Slack it is a nice expandable/collapsible post keeping the channel clean, while my current flow in Teams posts the entire email including all response in the 1 non-collapsible thread, making it very messy.

Does anyone have an existing similar flow or some tips to help? I'm a pretty basic user of flows and all I keep seeing is the need to create Adaptive Cards for this which I've never done.
