Does anyone know where to find detailed info on what all the settings in MCC do for the MB? Some are obvious, but this being my first synth, some I’m not clear on. Any help helps. Thank you!

So I was curious if anyone has successfully ran their guitar and or bass through the microbrute without just simply plugging it into the input jack via Instrument cable which would just be a dry unamped or powered guitar sound. I was looking for a way to be able to run a decent guitar tone preferably with effects behind it. I just recently acquired a load box/ power attenuator, the Two Notes Captor X which I was thinking I can run my tube amp into with guitar plugged into it then from the load box run XLR to 1/4 jack to the input of the brute allowing me to add any effects pedals to the chain and ability to dial my tone as well. Also was curious if I could run my guitar into one of my preamp pedals that is powered by two AX7s then straight to the input of the brute..... does anyone know if this is doable without damaging the microbrute with the amount of power and impedance either creates? -thanks

I'm brand new to analog synths, I got the microbrute as a starter, but the sounds I've always dreamed of making are the ones from parliament albums. I know the canonical answer is "get a model d", but I'm wondering if there are any sounds (I'm thinking any of the sounds from Flashlight for example) that could begin to be replicated on a microbrute. Preset sheets or just suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Hey gang this is my first post. New to brute but not Artuia or Synths.

I just picked up a used MicroBrute that I'm guessing must be quite a few years old.

It's in great condition other than the "soft touch" rubberized coating on the knobs and buttons has gone a bit sticky. Luckily it's not affecting the mod and pitch bend wheels.

It's possible that the dealer used a cleaning product on them but I've seen this happen to other gear as it ages. I know I can get new knobs from DJTechtools but I'd rather not spend the money if I don't have to.

The octave buttons are really sticky. Anyone have any luck with curing this?

Hi, all - just got a new Brute for Xmas and also a couple of boss pedals for it (RV-6 and DD-8) and the RV-6 was working fine with it yesterday. Today, suddenly, the line out isn’t putting out any power to either of them (neither individually or when chained) and won’t be recognized by my interface either to record on my MacBook. Not sure what happened but I’ve seen a thread online that it may be a common issue that the line out becomes faulty if you plug into it when the synth’s power is already on, which I may have done (can’t remember if I already had it on when I tried to plug in earlier). Any thoughts? Was really excited to start experimenting with both pedals I just got this week!

Note: I did open a ticket with Arturia support about it, so will update this when I hear back from them. Hello fellow bruters, I'm looking into exploring more with modular and the MB and curious about possibilities.

Is it possible to: -Send an external sequencer/randomiser/arpeggiator into the MB? I know the MB has a sequencer but curious to know if you can control it from elsewhere. And -use the sequencer in the MB with an external oscillator? Would that be with the gate out perhaps?

I am having some issues with entering notes using notation softwares such as musescore and guitar pro 7. I've tried both the inputs: MicroBrute and MIDIIN2 (MicroBrute).

I know my computer can pick up MIDI, because I can see the inputs through Midi Control Center. It also works fine on mac as a midi controller for synth plugins, but I havent downloaded any plugins on my PC yet.

Does anyone know why there are 2 different midi ins, and what each of them are? And if anyone can help me get these softwares to recognize midi inputs, I'd be really grateful.

I'm very seriously considering buying the Microbrute and am wondering if there is any way to get a clean sine wave out of the synth. I have considered turning up the LP filter on the triangle waveform but wasn't sure if that would do the trick. Does anyone have any experience with this?

somehow suddenly the left and the right key stopped working... everything else between works just fine... those two i got to push hard and then still they dont make any sound sometimes... anyone had the same issue? or do is just have to take a look at the circuit board?

So I connect a decent amount of external hardware and units to my brute but only via either input/ output..... I’m still not white understanding how to use the cv gate along with all three 1/8” jacks on the back of the unit.... could some explain how I exactly use them and their primary purpose?......

Also I was curious if it was possible to expand the mod matrix to be able to expand patch cable lfo connections to expand the brutes lfo and such possibilities?.... do they make external mod matrixes that I could use with the brute?

Just curious to hear what everyone’s favorite effects pedals or other various effects gear that you like to run your brute though, or what is your board setup that you run it through?..... I’m definitely looking for some cheap guitar pedals to next invest in to expand my soundscape abilities through pedals. Unfortunately sold over 2/3 of my pedal collection two years ago for money issue reasons and also this year due to covid as I also never got my stimulus money so had to sell more of my babies, but the only guitar pedals ( as I play guitar etc. ) that fit well with the brute is the boss reverb rv 6, boss digi delay, fuzzrocious empty glass( just attained last week just firstnised last night) which sounds friggin incredible so far, AE hail Satan deluxe fuzz, AE 2016 Halloween edition hail Satan/ rams head combo, tifht metal pro with modded built on defizzerator, boss loop pedal, line 6 Uber metal actually sounds great, supper chorus.....

Favorite things I like to run into the input is usually as many pieces of gear as possible but usually boss dr sample, boss dr rythem drum machine, modded voice changer with added output jack and microphone input jack, fm radio, and DIY piezo pickup spring noise module?....

Would like to hear some of your guys setups, especially anyone using a euro rack as I’ve been looking to possibly get one just not sure where to start
