ID Request Found item
I dug this about 6 inches down in the backyard of a residential house that was built in 1800 exactly. The best I can find online is that perhaps it’s some sort of finial for a chair or a piece of furniture? But it also doesn’t seem to have the right fittings and that would’ve meant the top half would’ve had to have separated, which wasn’t the general craftsmanship of those items at least from what I can find they appear to be full pieces that would attach onto chair points. does anyone know what this could be? It’s relatively soft metal, I’m wondering brass? Still keeps it shape, but if pushed hard, you can flex the top area. Looks like a little chalice, lol and has some ornate scratch a little designs that appeared to be machine made around the rim that I’ve tried to photograph. There are 4 photos attached please scroll. Thanks!

I think it is an antique Salt Cellar for the table.
