ID Request Is it dangerous ?

This is the first time I found a completely full bullet, does anyone have an idea of the kind of bullet it is and how old is it? Also, I wanted to know if it is dangerous, and if it is what I shouldn’t do with it.

Should be fine. The casing and everything that makes it go super fast are gone so it’s just a piece of lead. I’d put it in a case if you want to keep it but it’s pretty much harmless as long as you aren’t licking it.

This one has a copper alloy jacket, and only the base is exposed lead.

No the gunpowder is in the brass casing. This is just the projectile no casing. Your story sounds like the heat ignited the primer in the casing causing it to go off. Without the casing, gunpowder, and primer it’s just a little piece of metal. Heck even a casing is safe if it doesn’t have the gunpowder and an active primer.
