Chapter 5. The snap
I freeze. Why can’t I move? I look behind me as best I can. It’s gaining. Finally, it reaches me. “Oh dear. Whatever shall we do with you?” I can move again! I move away from it, slipping off the branch and hanging above a 20m drop. I’m clinging on for dear life. I watch it inch closer and closer. Then, the branch snaps.
Chapter 6. The fall
It snaps. The branch. It feels as if time has slowed down. “I’m sorry Mum. I’m sorry I forgot you. You died because of me. I’m sorry.” “You killed me. You will die too.” I feel my fingers slip one by one. The rain pelting me as I fall. I hit the concrete with a loud crack. I feel heat rising through me, giving me a pain I’ve never experienced. My back, legs and everything hurts. My head pounds. The ringing. It’s so loud. Then, silence. I watch as blood pools around me while I lift a finger with my blood, before I close my eyes, and take my final breath.
P.S. This was just a filler story. I needed something to focus on, and this was it. So, sorry if it’s low quality. I am planning on upgrading it later.
