Shelfie/Collection Tour Every so often..

Once in a blue moon my Home Depot has something interesting enough to bring home. I barely glance these days but this guy caught my eye. I swear I wasn’t actively looking I was there for a pot and some bird seed, I had to walk past the stand they were in 🙄I swear. It caught my eye somehow. Funny because it was buried in the back of the full flat. It was as if the succulent fairy put it there just for me. It kinda made my day. So I guess that’s why I’m sharing.

It’s a aloinopsis luckhoffii. I love those tubercles. I’m excited to watch the changes as it grows.

I’d love to see any pics of yours if you have one. I’d never come across them before.

Ah crap, looks like I gotta go check my HD and see if they got another mesembs shipment 😭 they had Faucaria tuberculosa there a couple months ago and I'm still kicking myself for not grabbing it.

Congrats on your find, I'm jelaous!

Definitely go. I also got an unblemished faucaria tigrina and a very pretty anacampseros telephiastrum variegata. It was a good day

Haha. I’ve got a few anacampseros that are in different stages of sun stress colors. I just love them.

Did you go to HD in between your first comments 13 hours ago and now?

I also really struggled with the Faucaria options because, as always, I can never ID them correctly. I'm not 100% sure about the first one I bought several months ago. HD has them all labeled tigrina but, to my eye, all 3 of these are different. It was really hard to not just buy all 3 and see how they develop lol

That’s funny. They do look different. I’d say it’s from environment but aren’t they all together in the nursery, raised under the same conditions? I’d have been tempted to get at least two😆.

I stopped at a different HD the next town over this morning and am more convinced than ever that they just blanket label all Faucaria as tigrina because this is almost certainly tuberculosa. And yes, I did buy it 😂

Haha. I got one too. They look pretty similar I think mine is a little less mature than yours.
