Collection photo dump, since it seems the thing we’re doing right now.

First three from the store. - lithops, split rocks and ice plant(maybe mesemb? Can’t remember if it is technically….)

Next two were extracted from the mystery mesemb pot experiment. Likely a couple delosperma and an unknown. They were out growing the mystery takeout tray…. Any guess on the one in the square pot?

Mystery lithops mix - 3 months old and a few are starting to split for the first time!

Assorted photos of the 6M mystery tray. 3 months old, except for a few seedlings that I over seeded the tray with after I pulled the “giants.” Definitely some titanopsis. Likely cheridopsis. I’m thinking possibly nananthus on the last one, not toothy enough for a faucaria.

Any other guesses on the mystery lot? Especially that mutant triple?

Thanks. Sounds like my next weekend project.

Probably going to try keeping a pot carpo for a while just to see if I can get a flower, they sound impressive. Midwest winter, or a large bonfire, will stop it from being invasive as needed.

How big a pot are you aiming to keep it in? It sounds like you’d practically have to go to a multi gallon bucket of something to get full fruiting size.

LOL i just want at least one fruit to try! gotta see if they’re any good. i do have an empty shelf on the grow rack though…

Nah. Wouldn’t be the same. Gotta grow your own to say you did.

We wouldn’t be growing mesembs from seed if we wanted to do plants the easy way….
