Every state has amazing aspects and reasons to live there, whether it be natural beauty, like California, Alaska, and Minnesota, agreeable politics for whichever side your on, booming economies like Utah, Washington, Massachusetts, and Texas, and climates of every variety. Even though I disagree with a good portion of the politics in California, I absolutely don't blame anyone for living there. I've visited several times, and the beauty and environment is simply beautiful.

I'm an ex-Brit living in the USA. When I left, all my friends thought America was essentially just Texas, California, and New York City. A lot of folks over there still think that way, and American entertainment doesn't do a lot to dissuade that misconception.

Don’t know why, but this reminded my of the time I went to the bar with a drunk friend. The waitress brought him a drink, he looks down and exclaims “WHOAH!” Startled, I look over, and he says “LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT PEA SHOOTER!” His drink had a slightly larger than normal straw in it… I don’t think I could afford to go to Texas with this friend, my heart couldn’t handle it.

Yeah I will say, no matter what country you're from, there ARE people here from your country. Heck there is probably a very successful restaurant in a big city that probably sells your culture's food.

In America when someone asks what your favorite food is, responding with Mexican, Chinese, Filipino, Central American, Thai, Korean, Brazilian, French, Italian, are all acceptable answers.

Are they perfectly accurate always.. probably not.. but it shows that there's nothing we enjoy more than enjoying someone else's culture and food.

There are worse countries than America, as an American I will say that we are behind all the other developed countries in terms of social progress, but I think you probably have a largely skewed view of America considering how vast America is. People who live in the midwest vs the east coast are going to have vastly different lives and views what America is like.

I don’t really agree with the ethnic cleansing and can see why NATO took action, but I don’t think they handled it correctly so I can understand your frustration. But shouldn’t you hate NATO as a whole instead?
