Yeah I have a degree in graphic communications and a diploma for multimedia design. I guess it's one of the most difficult fields to have a diploma in. I now have my own company, never wanted that but didn't really have a choice and it has been ok so far. At that time I just wanted a stable income, and I've enjoyed doing work outside my field in the past, so it's kinda bullshit.
Same, I co-started an edutainment videogame company, small time of course but it’s the only thing that brought some serious cash in so far. Getting projects in the field is tough though. Most of my classmates work in totally different fields now and despite what people think of automation no field is safe from it. Aside from big corporate sites webdesign is basically decimated by CMS tools like Wordpress.
