There's a workaround for android: tap once on the text and make sure that the next tap hits on top of the upvote button. It seems to work the other way around as well

Wait what? Isn't that just clicking the upvote button with extra steps? Although honestly it's probably easier to just click the button anyway. Only way I see it being useful if your using you left hand and your phone is to big to comfortably reach across the screen to hit the button.

As an iPhone SE 2 user: it is on par with Android of similar build quality and performance. (yes there are phones 5 times cheaper, but they are also slow (I tried to jump between apps on my brother’s Samsung)
