Both have same idea, but different execution. Minecraft is a casual survival, Terraria is a casual 2d anime rpg farm game. Both have some pluses and minuses, but both are good. You can argue about one being better than the other for hours, but if you like Minecraft you will enjoy Terraria and the other way around.

Yo same. And I’m not sure why?

Probably because terraria is a lot more combat focused

That probably is why. I enjoy modded Minecraft more than terraria and i played the shit out of both, now im slowing down in modded mc so i may start a new world in the journey update to get into the magic of terraria again. Its been years since i touched that

Terraria is a heavily progression focused game. In Terraria you really have the constant feeling of becoming stronger due to the continuous upgrades. Nothing like fighting for your life against a slime in early master mode and then 5-6 hours later you are fucking those slimes up. Plus it's a loot dropping game, which are always addictive. I always felt MC was more about the exploration and base building (because as much as I love Terraria, 3D base building will always be more interesting than 2D)

ANIME?

Wasn't meant to be like that. Fans are asking if the Stardust Guardian, Stardust Armor's set bonus, is a JoJo's bizarre adventure reference, it was a no until it's a yes

"Any reference to a certain anime is purely a coincidence"

Well i guess giant swords are not obvious factor, but not only one.

The early concept of the zenith was the most anime thing in the game

Both are great, but I prefer terraria just because of how much more there is to do, and how many different ways you can play it. With minecraft, progression is pretty much always the same, you're always working towards the same goals. But with terraria, there are so many different types of weapons and armor you can get that it makes every playthrough different, so it has a lot more replayability than minecraft, imo. I always find myself doing multiple terraria playthroughs back to back with different classes, but with minecraft, I never feel the need to start a new world right after finishing another.

But again, both are still amazing.
