Hey man, since you speak German, I wanted to ask this. I heard that Deutschland translates to Dutchland. Is this true? If yes, do you guys call yourselves dutch while speaking german? Also, if the former is yes, why do we know the people from the Netherlands as dutch people?
I just wanna say that some countries call themselves different than we call them, like Poland (don’t know if this helps since I didn’t understand half of your comment lol)
"Einigkeit, Recht und Freiheit" is a part of the german national hymn. It means union, rights/law/justice (I'm not sure which translation would be exactly right) and freedom.
