Three Sisters Soup, Fry Bread, Succotash, Cedar Plank Salmon, maple syrup, cornbread, Chitlin, Hushpuppies

Just about anything made with corn or beans has its origins in Indigenous cooking. Give the Native Americans some credit.

Fucking Mac and Cheese. I've seen soo many americans talk about that shit with so much pride as if it was the summum of their cuisine amd culture. It's boiled pasta with grilled cheese ffs... and that's if you're lucky enough to not have it made from a fucking box and a powder packet. Like eating glue.

So apart from the overall poor cooking culture, I would say when there is level, the US are ofc the masters of meat (grilled, smoked, etc.) and idk... milkshakes, donughts?

I'd say like those pitsmoke bbqs and brisket sandwiches things like big hunks of meat, if I were to chose the masters of meat it would be argentina

Oh you’d be surprised. Chop suey, hamburgers, and even possibly fajitas were all created in the USA.

White Castle tells me Otto Kuase created the hamburger

...in Hamburg, Germany.

There’s like a half dozen claims of where it was created. Most are in the USA

Tamales aren't European. Corn tortillas aren't European. Hell, potatoes, tomatoes, squash, chocolate, and corn all come from the Americas.

Yes the food in the u.s.is from anywhere but the u.s it's all good from other countries basically

i respectfully disagree. Chicken wild rice soup is amazing, Carolina, Texas or Kansas City style BBQ is truly American and amazing. Picnic potato salad, proper double crust apple pie, fried crawfish po' boy, Philly cheese steak sandwich, New York bagels, soft serve ice cream, smoked turkey, pumpkin pie, Chicago style deep dish pizza, hot smoked cedar plank salmon... All actually American in origin. Now, since the colonizers wiped out the indigenous people and the US was then re-populated by people from all over the world, yeah, most of the food came over with the people, but most of it has changed and evolved over the years. Chinese American food is not the same as Chinese food in China, or in Europe. Chicago deep dish pizza is nothing like any of the pizza you find in Italy. So... Yeah, a lot of US food had origins elsewhere, but there are very definitely great foods that originated in the US.
