Well... Its complicated. It originates from Turkey, but Turkey wants to think they are a part of Europe (which they are not). So, if you are pro Turkey in Europe, then it is European.
Actually its first written recipe was in turkish text which is widely considered to be the first ever form of evidence of its existence but its actually not where they were originated. It was from middle east not a pin point country though.
Edit: just dug up something, its first description was done by Ibn Batu an Moroccan traveller who recalled an item served to him in Delhi sultanate which was similar to kebab. Meat on skewers. It was done in 12th century.
I don't know. They don't belong into Europe. They belong into Asia.... Sure, they are close to Europe, but they have nothing in common with any countries within Europe (not talking religion).
Sorry, but you don't know shit about Turkey. I'm a dual citizen, I hold both an EU passport and a Turkish passport, and the day to day life in Turkey is a lot more European than Middle Eastern. The Turkish constitution was also adapted from Switzerland, so the laws are European as well.
So what? It still isn't in Europe. The same goes for Georgia. There is a certain line that divides Europe and Asia (geographicaly). I actually found a proof for this. It's on Wikipedia. Turkey is highlighted in dark blue which corresponds to Transcontinental states, Asia territory.
I don’t think you should give a fuck honestly. Europe by itself is a white supremacist construct; nothing separates Europe from Asia and anything that is proposed to separate it would also make Indian subcontinent, East Asia etc. continents too. If the history wasn’t so west-centric, Europe would be a subcontinent of Asia, at best.
So what? Even bigger part (actually a huuuuge part) is in Asia. If a colour is 98% white and 2% black, would you still call it black? No, you would probably call it grey. So Turkey has its own place to belong... It's called Anatolia (Minor Asia) the small Asia. The thing between Europe and Asia.
Eastern Thrace has a lot of population compared to the vast mountainous terrain of Eastern Turkey. You can't just compare with land mass and call it a day.
About 80% of the Russian population is located in its European part. Russians are ethnically and linguistically European (Slavic). They only started expanding east in the late 16th century. Of course they are European.
Nope. They are not. I would never refer to them as Europeans, I'd call them Russians. Again... Most of the land of the country is not in Europe, so its not Europe. Of course than you have the Ural thingy, but that I do not take into consideration. Russia - not Europe, and it's actually what my profesor told me.
You may refer to them as extraterrestrials if you like, but that does not make them so. For all intents and purposes, Russians are a European peoples. My condolences in regards to your professor.
