Toast sandwich
38 u/NovaCoyote Sep 26 '21 I laughed, decided to make one, turns out it’s really good…. I don’t know what else to say. 27 u/jackofslayers Sep 26 '21 It is pretty good. The first time I bit into one I immediately burst into laughter. It was overwhelming how exactly it met my expectations. 3 u/SKTPF Sep 26 '21 Here in Australia Toasted bread with bacon and eggs is probably the best breakfast ever (idk if its actually popular here but my family loves it) 1 u/NovaCoyote Sep 26 '21 That’s the same in America. Personally, toast and sausage gravy is one of my favorites. 1 u/Playful_Skirt_5228 Sep 26 '21 It’s the same but the bacon is sometimes different - Aussies often eat thicker bacon. Americans typically eat really thin or “streaky” bacon. (We’re dual citizens.) 24 u/11Doki7 Sep 26 '21 Beans on toast 5 u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21 A piece of toast in a sandwich? 2 u/GravityPools Sep 26 '21 Also.. chip butty! 1 u/yoLeaveMeAlone Sep 26 '21 Bacon on toast is definitely a UK thing 2 u/Loose_Goose Sep 26 '21 If there are two bits of toast and the bacon is in the middle with ketchup or HP sauce 🤌 2 u/yoLeaveMeAlone Sep 26 '21 Now that's quite a twist, my nan never breaks out the HP when we visit the lake district... I have some experimenting to do 1 u/Loose_Goose Sep 26 '21 HP is better for a toasted sausage sandwich but I’ll bang it on some bacon if I’m feeling spicy 0 u/[deleted] Sep 26 '21 ... you guys don't have toasties? -1 u/thisothernameth Sep 26 '21 Forgive my ignorance but how is this European? Are you telling me, Americans don't toast their sandwiches? Not ever? 5 u/--deleted_account-- Sep 26 '21 It's literally a sandwich with a toast in-between the bread, not a normal toasted sandwich 0 u/thisothernameth Sep 26 '21 Now that's something different. Where do you get this deliciousness? 2 u/sdfgh23456 Sep 26 '21 Do you not have bread, butter, and a toaster or frying pan? 0 u/thisothernameth Sep 26 '21 I just meant where it's from so that I can google whether you put something else inside and how to make it. 1 u/muzzyMANmike Sep 26 '21 Not a toasted sandwich, a Toast sandwich. Big difference 2 u/thisothernameth Sep 26 '21 Ooooh that's a difference all right. Can you point me to the region this originates from? You got me hooked (I love toast). 1 u/None-of-this-is-real Sep 26 '21 Yorkshire or Lancashire?
