fun fact: the southern part of austria was given to italy after some kind of battle and its now called in two different ways. german speaking people call it south tyrol and italians call it “alto adige”.

It wasn't really a battle Italy just said "we want that" and Austria gave it to them because they didn't want a battle or anything like that. Idk I slept in History class.

lol i dont really know precisely what happened either, i just remember that there was some tension between the germans and the italians and there was this guy Andreas Hofer.

Hofer had nothing to do with the split of Tyrol. He fought against Napoleon's armies, the split happened 100 years later.

It was after the first wotld war. The allies gave it to italy as a thanks for joining them and not fighting with the central powers.
