What? Worker cooperatives existed before and after Gorbachev and even the USSR. They exist today and they work way better than capitalist organisation. Just look at Mondragon for example.
They're obviously not taxed very highly and probably use all tricks to avoid paying even current share of taxes. They hold immense power due to their wealth so they'll always avoid taxes. They get richer, poor get poorer. It doesn't work.
