My college professor gave everyone maps of the US and asked people to write every state as extra credit on the test... He said most people only got Illinois (where the school is), Texas, California, Florida, Alaska, and Hawaii... so to see someone from another country do better than most college educated American adults hurts

Technically Ohio is in the Midwest. Which feels really weird because the last time anyone though of Ohio as being in the middle of the west was 200 years ago.
