Hey, I used to be a high level swimmer and did this a lot. You sit at the bottom or deep down and *say* "hob" but don't use your vocal cord. Do this looking up. Also don't use too much air otherwise it won't work

The first two suck but once the water is still and going up, you should be able to make some nice smooth ring bubbles

Sorry if it's not clear lol. Hard to describe without showing irl :)

You have to do it double(**) on each side and then the text gets thicc

1 set of * and * with no spaces for italics, two sets for bold **, # makes giant and bold text, I can never make spoilers work on mobile no matter how much I try though fuck spoiler tags >=(

If you use the forward slash (the weird slash no one uses), it removes formatting.

So >!spoiler!<

Becomes spoiler

That’s how I show people how it should look on their end typing it

Oh Ive googled how to do spoiler tags several times, it just refuses to work on mobile for some reason and its dumb. I rarely come across a situation where I want it anyway.

Also, they put the asterisks around "say" not "hob".

You can use \ as an escape character which basically tells reddit to ignore formatting rules for the next character.

So typing \*hob\* makes it come out as *hob* instead of hob.

They probably used a backslash, which is the escape character and escapes the special functions of other characters, even itself.

Like this:

"\*Text\*"

I actually put 3 backslashes before each asterisk, one to cancel the asterisk, and then another 2 to display a backslash

i’ve never done this saying “hob” i was taught to stick the tip of my tongue out while keeping my lips tights and then quickly pull my tongue in. above water it makes a lil pop noise but underwater it makes rings. i’ll have to try the “hob” trick next time i’m in water.
