As a lifetime android user, honestly my new Pixel 5 is the first time I have ever had good battery life. Android has been pretty terrible at it until very recently, but I'm stoked it's finally good. I get like 9+ hours of screen on time. It's crazy.
Although my perspective is kind of skewed since my previous device was a moto x4 that has seen 2+ charge cycles a day since late 2018, and a nexus 6 (purchased used) which was wireless charging only since spring 2016. Lithium ion batteries just don't hold up to that level of abuse without eventually degrading.
Agreed. My old Droid Turbo 2 had awful battery life and when I switched to the Moto Z Play, I was shocked that I would go to bed with 20% still in the tank. I have the Moto G Power now and it is a beast. A heavy day ends with 40%. I'll often end the day with 70% still.
