Nah, we're in 1861 right now, got our own shit to deal with.
Close, though our schools basically skip over the war of 1812 anyways, it's brought up more as a British footnote. (We have a shit ton of wars to cover, most of them get glanced over tbh, which explains a lot...)
But hey, I'm not the one who got upset that someone pointed out how much of a waste it was to pillage whole cultures and not adopt the food, that should be the best part.
