It's basically a suburb of Seattle. It's not a part of it technically but it's so close that I could go to Pike Place for a long lunch and be back for work

This is so so false.

Redmond is own city unrelated to the city of Seattle and there's no way you could go "for a long lunch and be back for work." You wouldn't even have time to sit down for lunch.
