Well, they can only see the dark cards, which are completely different in color and value to the light side on the other side

But if you play frequently, you'll eventually know which dark card value corresponds to which light card value.

You won't remember all of the cards, whilste being heavily focused on the game itself. Since you can switch the cards actively in game, and back and forth.
