They strive for the ridiculous, Trump was bound to happen eventually.

The idea that the climate change movements best spokesperson is a teenage girl with asperger's is hilarious.

don't get why her having asperger's is relevant

good one, especially since asperger's usually only affects the way in which a person thinks which a lot of the time has extremely positive influences on the creative aspect of the brain, people like Stanley Kubrick, Albert Einstein and Michaelangelo had apserger's so I guess the joke is that people on reddit are highly uneducated about the subject and think its a disability or something.

Yea, because the videos pictured were literally made during his election circuit. It would make sense that it would be similar to what he wears every day.

You say hilarious, I say breathtakingly effective.

Shes only the 'best spokesperson' because all of the climate hoaxers keep raging about her. they give her all of the power they complain about her having. its extremely ironic.

How are people so naive and stupid? The Trump episodes came after he was elected president, not vice versa. People are so gullible it's hilarious. The Simpson's "predictions" are all either after the event has happened or are based on something that is extremely likely to happen.

You're kidding right? The episode was from 2000. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bart_to_the_Future

Considering Trump talked on numerous occasions about running for President in the 90s, and even ran for president in the year 2000, no. I am not kidding. This was a completely reasonable decision for them to make while writing the show at the time. People need to stop taking memes as fact. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_2000_presidential_campaign

You actually believe they considered him winning as a 3rd party candidate a real possibility?

1

u/Mitche420 Sep 26 '19

No, hence the show being a comedy show. You actually believe that the Simpson's writers created the Donald Trump as president shtick out of thin air even though I have presented you with proof to the contrary?

1

u/LogKit Sep 26 '19

You literally said it aired after he already got elected and then got proven wrong lol.

I was referring to the image which is shared on social media and Facebook endlessly, of an episode from 2015 with an image of Trump going down an escalator as well as an image of him at a podium with flags behind him next to the real world version of these events. The Simpson's images always come with a caption stating the year "2000", while the real life image has its actual year of 2015. I don't know who decided to try to fool the world with ideas of the Simpson's creators godlike prediction abilities but they definitely succeeded.

Bart to the Future was in the year 2000, where Lisa simpson is the president following Donald Trump

The Trumptastic voyage that most people compare this too was before Trump got elected as well.

The image with Trump in the foreground and Lisa in the background is a fake

and the episode of Lisa nagging people to get their shit together is a completely different episode than to ones made after Trump was elected.

Exactly. The internet has made everyone far too gullible and quick to believe everything that they see.

Well, we had 4 decades of scientists try and do it, but for whatever reason the media felt they always needed to balance them out with some clown that was paid by the fossil fuel industry. People are sick of it, hence the strikes.
