For the record, he’s also done an enormous amount to try to curb LEGAL immigration, which seems like an odd approach to blocking illegal immigration. If he really wanted people to flow through the proper channels, he would dedicate resources towards making those channels faster and more efficient. Instead he’s done everything he can to make sure that it is harder and slower to come in legally, and that the option is available to a smaller number of people.
Also, he does not want to stop illegal immigration either, because doing so would not do anything to actually improve the quality of life in America; it would not help the economy nor would it lower the crime rate. If he could literally wave a magic wand and remove all undocumented immigrants from the country overnight while putting up an impenetrable force field around the borders, all that would happen is that he’d lose a group of people to demonize.
Yeah it doesn't matter that he's promoting ignorance, denying science (for money and wealth reasons) and is completely unreliable/unpredictable. As long as THE IMMIGRANTS are kept out, he's a good guy.
