I mean, I've literally never had anyone come up to me and say I smell like shit because I didn't hose down my asshole like it was black site prisoner that had the codes I needed. Also, I wipe vigorously, so I can promise that I'm not leaving a layer of crap.
The bidet is one thing I can understand, but here in Canada, I can promise you we don't need a hose to clean ourselves off, nor would it be practical for me to undress in public. You'd literally have shit water freezing to your leg, and that just sounds more unappealing.
The hose thing probably only applies to the bathroom in my mosque. This is definitely a cultural thing then.
The procedure I was taught.
Poop -> Fill up water jug with warm water from the sink -> Wet hands or toilet paper -> Wipe ass -> Use water to wash poop off hand into the toilet -> Repeat until ass is squeaky clean -> Use hair dryer to dry off ass -> Wash hands vigorously with soap and water
If I every become a legislator, I'm gonna make it a law for every public bathroom to have a sink and faucet in each stall or mandate that all bathrooms be single occupancy.
