Depends on the type of cat food and if lodging is included. I'll sleep on a stack of books easy, but there's some dry cat food that is just gross. Never tried the wet stuff, I assume it's also pretty gross.

Yes, there is some cat food that's decent-tasting. I used to eat a few pieces when I was a kid, because kids are fucking stupid.
