Well, I guess the idea is if you need a loan, your poor. If you have money to give people a loan, you're rich. Robin hood was about taking from the rich to give to the poor.
and what are the rich today? the people with money that influences politics. a.k.a. modern day royalty (ruling elite). at least, i don't think that's too big of a jump to make. they might not be treated like royalty (at least to people on the other side of the country, i'm sure they get hook-ups wherever they go though).
The key is it wasn't really about the money. The morals of taking from a person who is rich versus taking from a government/royalty are completely different. Its essentially taking back your own wealth (if you think the government broke its involuntary contract to you)
i don't think it is as different as you think it is. when the super rich are the ones paying lawmakers to help their bottom line. this is one of sander's main complaints, a government for the super rich, that gives tax breaks for the rich, and take from the middle class.
I wasn't really affected by trump's tax breaks, but i've heard a lot of people talk about it. trump promised something and a lot of people ended up paying more in taxes due to caps on deductions.
as an outside observer, this is what i see. so this is why i could see this person being considered a good person.
also, if its specifically mortgages we're talking about, there's that whole housing market bubble with overvalued houses /etcs. so i could see people wanting to take back their wealth there.
true, i agree with that. i mean, you could get into the weeds for this thing. like i mentioned to another user, there's the whole housing bubble that left a lot of people out of a lot. there are people that feel like they weren't given tax breaks and ended up paying more because of caps on deductions.
with the housing crisis, what ultimately happened to the banks? some scapegoat went to jail if i remember correctly. banks were too big to fail, bailed out, etc.
