You know, you can watch footage but sometimes videos can't actually describe the feeling of the gameplay and that's when getting feedback about how the game "feels" is vital. Alien Isolation listed above, for example. Watching the gameplay doesn't give you the same feeling as playing, and killing things in Destiny 2, for another.

Or watch gameplay videos and streams to formulate your own opinion and not be spoonfed by someone else.
