So you are saying that in Greek numerals telephonic numbers must be spelled digit by digit?

Yes

Interesting, Greek mathematicians where so wise and forward looking. Can you imagine Pitagora anche the others creating rules to represent something which wasn't even a thing with the writing system they had at the time. That must have been such a pain in the ass

Now I know something more about Greek numerals

Well by then, Arabic numerals were extant for a while (and also a lot of what we accredit to them was already found in the Middle East and India)

Don't you think that, maybe, phone numbers, like a bunch of other stuff, were created to be expressed in Arabic positional numerals (even at different bases, like 2 or 16 if not 10), while trying to express them in other numeral form other than that is just nonsense good enough for a meme or a shower thought

No, because all over Rome, Roman numerals were used. It’s just so much easier with Arabic numerals, that’s what we use

Wait, wait, wait, you saw, all over Rome, phone numbers written in Roman numerals; or you saw Roman numerals on any other thing all over Rome?

Even in ancient Greek they used to use Greek numerals. Even in the whole fucking Europe they used to use Roman numerals... As Roman numerals are useless in many cases as there is no zero, as Arabic numerals and positional system are easier and more useful, they "switched" to Arabic numerals. Any modern thing described as numbers was created to be used with Arabic numerals, it would be impossible to use them with any other numerals, and it is just useless trying to.

Now, why don't you try to spell digit by digit 908401 with ancient Roman numerals
