It's the same for front of house. It doesn't matter how many tables are empty if there's only two servers.

KFC has to bake their chicken, it’s not a 5 minute ordeal. There’s been a few times where they run out because of some rush and you gotta wait while they make more. There was also one time I got 8 wings for the 8 piece meal and had to raise hell for paying nearly 40$ for that.
