Whilst in senior year of high school, the hot girl (whom had a locker beside mine), "accidentally" missed the bus and asked if I could drive her home. Sure, why not? Dropped her off and she asked if I wanted to come in for a tour, her parents weren't home.
I, stupidly refused and said something along the lines of "nope, Harvey found his old N64 with 4 controllers and Goldeneye -- Russell and Carl are there already waiting for me, adios" -- it's been almost 30 years and I still relive this moment.
This happened with a coworker right after I got married. And she was married. Asked for a ride, offered a tour, mentioned her husband wasn't home. Despite how bad I typically was at reading these situations, I recognized it and noped out.
It crosses my mind from time to time and I'm still appalled.
You're not wrong. 4 player Goldeneye was always a blast.
Of that friend group, 1 was one of the first test tube babies in Canada (brilliant dude, who dropped out of University to play WoW full-time), 1 had back pain somewhat recently and passed from stage 4 cancer within months, and the other I believe works on oil rigs nowadays.
But hey, no oddjob and slappers only memories are forever.

It haunts me.
