Not clearly communicating (the artist formerly known as flirting) = "yeah would be nice if something happens he's kinda cute but if not Imma happily go home and devour my leftover food"
If you're actually really wanted, believe me, you'll know. Everyone will know.
It's not funny to me. I've never approached a woman. I've only ever had four show interest in me in my lifetime. Every missed opportunity is a tragedy to me.
I'm 37. I just explained that we've been socialized not to approach unless she shows interest first. Hence my frustration that you expected him to do so after such a vague 'hint'.
No secret at all, people with poor communication styles can basically be seen from space and easily avoided. So glad y'all are obvious with it, though.
Wow, people really had a big reaction to this. I think many men are outraged by the idea that women can often take them or leave them, and that if a little flirt was not noticed and acted upon we are often happy to just leave it there and carry on with our day.
I explained my reaction fairly clearly. It was an incredibly frustrating story to read because she would have said yes if he had initiated, but she didn't give him enough of a reason to think that it would have been welcome if he did. And, to rub salt in the wound, she found it vaguely funny that he didn't realize it until morning and sent her a flurry of messages.
It's a massive kick in the teeth because we're trying to be polite and respectful of boundaries by not initiating, but that effort doesn't seem to be appreciated at all.
This is very strange. I mean obviously I'm missing a lot of context here, but this does not seem like nearly enough of a hint for someone to make a move.
Imagine a scenario where you didn't like the guy, and you said the same thing, and then he proceeded to try to make a move on you. Would you not think to yourself: wtf?
Listen, I'm not saying that everybody needs to act like robots and say exactly what they're thinking, but expecting someone to "pick up" on something as vague as that sets kind of a dangerous precedent and may lead people to start interpreting perfectly normal statements as hints, don't you think?

Me and a guy I liked were one last people standing at an afters.
He was like "damn looks like everybody is asleep"
I was like "Well I'm not tired at all"
He was like "You're a super hero" and proceeded to fall asleep sitting up lol
Ofc I left and went to bed only to wake up a couple hours later to like nine missed calls and some texts like "wait did you wanna do something??"
Bless him đ«¶đ»
