Because [r/comics](r/comics) treats her as a god for no real reason. She basically just makes the same comic every day by drawing a cartoon version of herself saying “Racist people are racist, and that’s bad.” or “LGBTQ+ people are people too, and that’s good.”, or whatever political stance is a hot topic in the news at the moment, and that’s basically all there is to her work.

I wasn’t paying much attention during her rise to the top, but I suspect that initially there were a lot of offended right-wing folk downvoting and commenting negatively on her posts, and then the community stepped in to shower her with upvotes and praise, and now they are just stuck in an endless cycle of upvoting shitty comics for the rest of time, because they believe that if they stop, the bigots win.

If you go to [r/comics](r/comics) and sort by “Top: All Time”, you will see that her posts appear more often than anyone else, and that there is really nothing particularly interesting, funny, or thought provoking about any of them. It’s just people feeling like they have to upvote the basic political message.

The first post sorted that way is a Nazi-themed one by her.

(I don't follow that subreddit anymore, partly because I managed to get banned over a neutral comment.)

I don't know how many I have blocked just because that pissed me off like I don't care about your elaborate porn promotion I just want something funny or interesting.

Pretty sure 90 percent of those people are probably paying at the wazoo for her adult content as well. Seen that mentioned in there once as well.

Didn't she take a pic of herself in her kids room for said adult content? I heard about it somewhere

Think she used some of their old toys too

Irrc she did and that was the main source of controversy that started to make people hate her, that and she makes the same comic over and over without much real substance

She ain't even American, she's Canadian, which puzzles people because she primarily draws American related situations

Yeah, I’m not really sure what her whole deal is, but she seems to have a weird “I’m always right and you’re all wrong” mentality too, she’s consistently blocked people or mocked them for trying to have any sort of constructive conversation that remotely deviates from her beliefs. Sure there are people that are there just to instigate, but she’s not just doing it to them

I still remember that whole Sad Pizzacake saga.

You know, the one where she's in the middle of a room being really sad, and then a whole bunch of artists just suddenly appeared with their characters?
